Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 championships have been earned on hardcourt
A resurgent Daniil Medvedev won his maiden championship for 882 days with a win over opponent Moutet in the tournament title decider.
The athlete, a former world number one, has had a torrid period, winning just one win at the Grand Slams and undergoing a difficult moment at the US Open.
His inconsistency on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his serve in especial - resulted in him falling of the world's top 10 and finally parting ways with long-term coach Cervara.
Currently training with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently improved in the past month - peaking in a tightly fought three-set victory over Frenchman Moutet.
This represents the player's maiden title since the Rome competition and initial on a hardcourt from spring of the previous year.
Victory also signifies Medvedev has won twenty-one victories at twenty-one different events.
"It's the first time I have attended a tournament with my two daughters at once, so to get a trophy is particularly special," stated ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in tribute of my second daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I won when my child her name was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his past six title deciders, featuring in that event earlier this year.
His retrieving approach and regular emotional displays on court had led commentators to doubt if his skill to compete at the top level was finished.
Yet the 29-year-old has made changes in recent weeks, attempting to approach the net and compete assertively, reinforced by an enhanced serve.
The champion recovered from a disadvantage in the opening set against the difficult opponent, securing 4 of the last five exchanges to take the lead.
The competitors traded service breaks in the middle set before Moutet, striving for his first tour victory, gained dominance to create a third set.
The opponent rescued four early chances in a competitive third set before the champion secured a break to that score to close out the victory.
Appropriately, the winner clinched victory with a rally at the front of the court, with his opponent failing to control a volley after a lengthy match.
